As you may know, the Scottish Government has decided to abolish the board of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and replace it with a Scotland wide, overarching board that will have responsibility for a variety of different agencies.
Maureen MacMillan has presented a petition to the Parliament Petitions Committee asking for the government to reverse their decision.
It would be a great help if you would sign and encourage as many other as you can to do the same.
The link for the petition is:
This is a massive issue for the Highlands and Islands and we would really appreciate your help in making this campaign a success.
You can help in a number of ways:
1) You can Like and Share the Don’t Let HIE GO South Facebook page.
2) You can share the Petition post on the Facebook Page
3) Write you SNP MSPs and tell them that you want this decision reversed.
You can get information from the Facebook page – but if you want more information phone our Inverness office and ask.
4) Write letters to your local newspapers and the Press and Journal in support of the campaign.
Remember – the more who shout – the louder the voice.
